The water jacket of a PC2-5 diesel engine is a core component of the engine's cooling system. It consists of a hollow shell formed within the cylinder block and cylinder head. Its primary function is to conduct heat generated in the combustion chamber and cylinder inner walls to the outside world through the continuous circulation of coolant.
The water jacket is typically made of metal (such as cast iron or aluminum alloy). Its internal channels closely conform to the engine block structure, ensuring even coolant distribution. As the coolant flows, it absorbs heat from high-temperature components and dissipates it to the air through the radiator.
