A bellows expansion joint is a type of expansion joint made of metal bellows. It can expand and contract along its axial direction and also allows for slight bending. To prevent exceeding the permissible compensation amount, protective tie rods or rings are installed at both ends of the bellows, and guide supports are installed on the pipes connected to it at both ends. There are also angle and lateral expansion joints, which can be used to compensate for angular and lateral deformation of pipelines. Bellows expansion joints are generally used on pipelines with relatively low temperatures and pressures and short lengths. With the improvement of bellows manufacturing technology, the application range of this type of expansion joint is expanding.
